The Hash Access (HA) protocol was proposed to prevent selfish access and address the trust issues between client devices for blockchain radio access networks (B-RAN). However, its performance is still unclear. In this work, we establish an analytical model for the HA protocol in B-RAN and evaluate its performance comprehensively. We first present the workflow and principle of the B-RAN-based HA protocol in detail. We then characterize the traffic under the HA protocol via a Markov chain model and further assess key performance indicators, including transmission success probability, access delay, and network throughput. Finally, simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of our established model.
