Resource Pre-allocation for Cooperative Sensing to Achieve End-to-end Delay Fairness in CRNs

Yean‐Fu Wen · 2020

This study proposes a method for pre-allocating cooperative radii and sensing spectral bands to increase the matching rate of free spectra for multi-hop cognitive radio networks. Because the effective area for allocation is within the interference range, we propose a delay bias concept to achieve end-to-end delay near-fairness by using a non-limited number of spectral bands. We demonstrate the resource allocation problem and evaluate two proposed approximation schemes, the weighted delay bias (WDB) and the weighted delay bias with the rate of interruption (WDBI), to overcome uncertain available resource obstacles hop-by-hop and obtain a lower delay bias, as compared with two queuing schemes.
