Execution Migration of Managed Languages Programs Among Heterogeneous-ISA Processing Units

Amir Khordadi · 2020

Modern processors couple processing units of different instruction set architectures (ISAs). Programs built for one ISA cannot run on others, and migration between ISAs is not straightforward. Different methods have been proposed to support transparent migration among heterogeneous-ISA processing units. However, methods that address managed code, such as Java, shown to be much slower than the ones for unmanaged code (or native).
