For most of the current research on Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol in FANET (Flying Ad-Hoc Network), a distributed TDMA is mainly considered, where using channel efficiently about nodes was investigated. However, the scheduling cost of a short frame makes up a high proportion and the slot waste problem at high load remains to be settled. In this paper, ITT-TDMA (Idle Timeslot Transfer TDMA) is proposed, instead of the traditional competing method for an extra idle slot, nodes transfer the current idle slot automatically to a high load one. The theoretical analysis result that designing the short frame can reduce the delay has been verified through OMNeT++ simulations. A fully connected network being assumed, changing the frame length and the Traffic load respectively, the average End-to-end delay and throughput have been analyzed. The simulation results show that ITT-TDMA can effectively reduce delay and improve throughput, achieving uniform Traffic. The channel utilization curve demonstrates ITT-TDMA avoids the competing deterioration phenomenon in high traffic load.
