High Speed Terahertz Communication in the Space and Terrestrial Integrated Next Generation Wireless Communication Systems

The next generation mobile communication system is expected to support a 3D coverage including not only the ground but also the air and the space. Terahertz communication is able to support very high speed data for space and airborne network. In this paper, we propose a terahertz enabled Space-Air-Ground Integrated Network architecture. The typical use cases of terahertz and corresponding functional requirements is discussed, as well as the key enabling techniques need to be developed.
