Since the release of the AES encryption standard, it has been subjected to various DFA attacks. In the past time, AES-128 has been extensively studied. Therefore, later researchers turned to more research on AES variants. This paper proposes a random single-byte fault model based on AES-192. Added one byte error in the first column of the tenth round of key expansion. We show how to use four pairs of fault and correct ciphertext to crack the entire AES-192 key without a exhaustive search. We implement this attack on Modelsim simulation software. It takes less than 4 minutes to crack the key. Considering the number of error ciphertexts, the depth caused by the fault, and whether exhaustive search is required, the author's attack is the most effective DFA compared to the existing scheme in the AES-192 key plan.
