Nowadays, the implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) is very prominent and used widely for an enormous number of applications with automation using sensor devices and advanced wireless technologies. In current scenarios, wireless technology loaded devices are based on internet protocols (IP) and these are mapped with their identification modules. These modules are accessed by servers and satellites for monitoring so that real time analytics can be done. Telehealth or telemedicine is one of the diverse applications for which the IoT is used. As shown in the research reports and analytics from Allied Market Research, the revenue from telemedicine will soon exceed 13 billion dollars. From the research reports from Statista, they expect IoT based deployments to be used significantly and with increasing frequency because of the usage patterns in many domains. In another research report, the use and number of tablets in many locations from 2014 to 2019 are increasing. Because of these data, it is necessary to enforce security mechanisms for the IoT and wireless based environment. In the domain of IoT based telehealth services, there are various sections where there is the need for work to be carried out on the advanced technologies so that a higher degree of accuracy and performance can be achieved. In this chapter the multiple dimensions of IoT in health services are explored and presented in association with the fog computing-based environment.
