Now-a-days organizations are moving towards storing their data in cloud servers provided by the cloud service providers (CSPs) so as to reduce the strain put on their company servers. In this paper, we propose storing the data in cloud by splitting the file into different parts and storing them in different servers. The cost needed in storing the data file in multiple parts is low compared to storing multiple copies of data file. This way of storing multiple parts of a file also ensures that an attacker does not get his hands on the complete file. The file splitting technique is used for splitting the file into multiple parts. During the retrieval of the file it is rejoined by the merging the split file parts. In the proposed system, file sharing is also made safe by verification of the file requestor before the file is shared.
