Rubik’s Cube Encryption for Wireless Communications
Mai Helmy Shaheen · 2020
This chapter discusses the hybrid encryption framework that begins with chaotic Baker map permutation, Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), or RC6 algorithm as a first step for encrypting the multiple images, separately. The resulting encrypted images are encrypted in a second stage with Rubik’s cube algorithm. Chaotic, RC6 or AES encrypted images are utilized as the faces of the Rubik’s cube. The Rubik’s cube algorithm adds more permutation to the encrypted images together. The encrypted images are further transmitted through a wireless channel and decrypted at the receiver side. The AES algorithm is a block cipher algorithm that uses an encryption key and several encryption rounds. The compressed image bit streams are encrypted using the proposed hybrid encryption framework, and then transmitted through the OFDM system. Then, the images are received, and decrypted.
