Due to technological advancements, high-speed In- ternet is being used to sharedata among numerous to constitute the Internet of Things (IoT). Next-generation networkshave increased the challenge to provide adequate quality of experience for users. Therequirement of each device changes and an adaptive method of controlling congestion andproviding the resources are desirable. At the minimum, a million bits of data are beingbroadcasted every day, and enhancing high throughput and minimizing the number of packetsbeing dropped is mandatory. In high-speed networks like IoT, applications should have the leastdelay in transmitting and receiving packets. Generally, high-speed networks have a largenumber of devices,i.e. nodes, connected. On broadcasting between large numbers of nodes, congestion occurs. Inthis paper, an adaptive approach for adjusting the congestion window size and reducing thenumber of packets dropped is proposed. The suggested work enhances throughput, reducesdelay, and ensures all packets are being broadcast with the least number of drops in comparisonwith TCP and TCP Reno. This work is essential for high-speed networks where therequirement of nodes changes based on congestion and the number of packets required forperforming a specific function. The number of packets sent smartly gets adapted based on thenetwork congestion and requirements of the nodes.
