Artificial intelligence is present in most people&s;s daily lives, even if they don&s;t realize it. Artificial intelligence is based on the idea that computers can "think" exactly like humans, creating analyses, reasoning, understanding and obtaining answers for different situations. The concept of Artificial Intelligence has undergone changes as its applications developed over the years, but it is possible to highlight that it is the technology that allows machines more autonomy through computing, since through this technology they can learn, think and take decisions intelligently from your schedule. The big "step" within Artificial Intelligence studies is the development of systems that can learn and develop themselves, meaning creating new deductions from the junction of various fragmented information, just as it happens within the neurological system of human beings. Going beyond the cognitive point of view, another great ambition involving Artificial Intelligence technologies is the possibility of the creativity, emotions and human feelings also being reproduced by machines, where due to the advances in research in the area, significant results have already begun to appear and be part of people&s;s daily lives. Therefore, Artificial Intelligence is the technology that provides intelligent machines to solve problems, increasing productivity and improving areas such as health, finance, marketing and sales, customer service and agriculture, among many other fields of application. Therefore, this chapter aims to provide an updated review and overview of AI, addressing its evolution and fundamental concepts, showing its relationship as well as approaching its success, with a concise bibliographic background, categorizing and synthesizing the potential of technology.
