Studies for Designing Stereotypes in a Mobile Recommendation System for Environmental Awareness

Centuries-Old Olive Groves is a natural monument that may of interest to a great variety of users, with different knowledge, interests and need. A recommendation system may customize access to information. In this paper, we focus on the design of a recommendation system for environmental awareness, which actually provides information about Centuries-Old Olive Groves. More specifically, we describe the expert-based and user-based studies that have been implemented in the early stages of the software's life cycle. These studies help in the implementation of a combination of user modeling techniques and multi-criteria decision making methods, used for personalizing recommendations in the recommendation system.
