Anomalous Electromagnetic Moments of the Tau Lepton

We discuss the recent determination of the first limits on the anomalous electromagnetic couplings of the tau lepton by the L3 collaboration using the process e/sup +/e/sup -/ to tau tau gamma near the Z/sup 0/ pole. Subtleties of the theory as well as the recent L3 results are presented, together with a summary of related results. (18 refs).
