The JINR Multifunctional Information and Computing Complex

The report provides an overview of the distributed computing infrastructure of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) - Multifunctional Information and Computing Complex (MICC). The main requirements, which the MICC should meet as a modern scientific computing complex are the following: high availability and reliability in a 24×7 mode, multi-functionality and scalability, a reliable data storage system, high performance, information security and a customized software environment. MICC provides resources for solving different problems within numerous projects, in the implementation of which JINR takes part, namely, MPD, BM@N, ATLAS, ALICE, CMS, STAR, NOvA, BESIII, COMPASS, etc.
