Sahil Panghal, Dennis Anmol Bilung, Neha Gupta, Gorav Kumar · 2020

Ray Tracing is a technique for rendering that gives a realistic image of the 3-D models. We focus primarily on NVIDIA and its use in the application of ray tracing. In the newest RTX series graphic cards, Ray Tracing is a technique where images are rendered using RT Cores. Knowing how to work ray tracing allows one to understand how to apply to 3-D models in the world the realistic looks and results. At present, ray tracing is used primarily in gaming. Ray Tracing tries to show light in the same way as in real life and ray tracing optimizations usually focus on environmental enhancement in video games. NVIDIA is the only organization willing to use their RTX graphic cards to incorporate Ray tracing. In this paper we have discussed about the RTX graphics card and its hardware. Paper also presents a detailed comparison between RTX and GTX with future directions.
