A Novel Anti-interference Scheme of Message-Driven Frequency Hopping Systems

Xiaoyan Ning, Shuang Peng, Zhenduo Wang · 2020

Frequency hopping (FH) systems are widely used as anti-jamming communication schemes due to reliable communication performances. However, FH systems cannot reasonably occupy the frequency band during information transmitting, so the spectrum efficiency of FH systems is very low. In recent years, message-driven frequency hopping (MDFH) systems have been proposed, which have higher spectral efficiency than traditional FH systems. Therefore, we propose a difference detection receiver to solve the problem of poor anti-interference abilities for conventional MDFH systems. In addition, our paper has made improvements for the frequency hopping pattern of MDFH systems, and also proves that the performances of the frequency hopping pattern with the new scheme is better. Finally, we propose message-driven frequency hopping systems based on difference detection (D-MDFH), and verify that D-MDFH systems have better anti-interference abilities for partial-band interference through theoretical and simulation analyses.
