Excel has added two new data types, Geography and Stocks. The way they work is similar. The Geography Data Type has field data pertaining to countries, provinces, regions, states, counties, cities, and towns. The Stock Data Type has field data pertaining to Stocks, Bonds, and Mutual Funds. You can display just the data you want from a list of options, or the data can be used in formulas. From the Geographic data type you can get data such as population, Median gross rent, persons per household, housing units, etc. The data you can get depends upon the type of location. The Stock Data Type provides data such as price, previous close, 52 week high and low, change, change %, etc.
