Parmanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Control Based on Model Reference Adaptive Approach

Jitendra Kumar Mahawar, Anil Kumar · 2020

Speed controlling of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) by using the sensor less scheme makes the system rugged, less size, reliable and cost effective. In order to improve the rotor position detection accuracy for the uses of industrial application and in electrical vehicle, a mathematical model of PMSM developed and a sensor less scheme named model references adaptive system (MRAS) developed. Both techniques detect the rotor position. Main idea to develop the MRAS is to compare the two models which have the identical physical meaning and send the error signal to third model named adaptive law. So it can be said, MRAS approach contain three parts: reference model, adjustable model and adaptive law model. As mentioned above two models have same meaning i.e. reference model and adjustable model.
