There are several ways one can use to optimize the performance of Apache Storm. Optimizing the performance of Apache Storm has been a necessary but time-consuming task as there are hundreds of parameters that can be tuned and almost thousands of combinations of possible configurations. So this is a survey of all research work done in the field of real time data processing technologies. The various ways to optimize the performance of Apache Storm used by researchers are parameter tuning, task scheduling, resource scheduling and more. Following is the deep survey of all these approaches and their respective performance optimized.
