Web application for timeline representation of COVID-19 data in Romania

Valeriu Manuel Ionescu, Florentina Magda Enescu · 2020

The COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) global pandemic has changed the way human interaction is performed, with unprecedented measures taken for social distancing. The statistics data generated (infected, recovered, deaths, quarantined) is very large and various visualization tools have been used in order to create a structured representation of the virus spread and containment across the globe. This paper presents a web application that allows loading data and visualizes it on a map. The application helps creating animated timeline visualization for the loaded data, making it easier to see the spread of the virus in Romania and across the globe.
