Embedded Hardware Testing Using Bootloader

Production testing is a verification process used to measure production line correctness and effi ciency in the development of an embedded product. With high volumes, production testing involves efficient, versatile test software that also adapts to a great variety of different products. A desirable strategy is certainly one that is focused on maximizing reusability, and minimum software and leveraging artefact's across the complete production cycle during different testing. This paper presents how bootloader-based test software can benefit hardware production testing. This paper suggests some key design requirements for developing a bootloader for testing hardware during production.
