Contrast Enhancement for Color Dermascopy Images using Equalization based on Luminosity

Contrast Enhancement is one of the crucial and important pre-processing steps. This method is applied to improve the perceiving quality of the image. In this paper we have proposed a method to preserve the details of an image while adjusting luminosity of the image. The main benefit of this method is that this can be applied in colored skin lesion image and while contrasting process is applied the details will not be lost. To study the success of the proposed system, the entropies of the test input images are compared with the entropies of the enhanced image.
