Reduce 802.11 Scanning Time Using Special Device to Provide Scan Results

In this generation where speed and accuracy are key aspects in every field, Wi-Fi is one Technology which has made user satisfied with its connection speed and reliable nature. But still this technology needs improvements to overcome some basic but significant aspects. One of the issues is, the time taken by the stations to scan the available access point in its range is quite high and unnecessary. In this paper we propose a little different approach to reduce the 802.11 scanning time significantly by using a specialized device for this purpose. By using such device which will provide the already acquired scan results, station can neglect scanning for AP on all the channels. This device will not only reduce the scanning time for the movable stations but can also enhance connection for all stations in a network.
