Healthcare organizations produce large volume of data every day in the form of images that need to be stored. Now days, medical imaging storage has become prominent area of research and the greatest agent of information exchange in healthcare. To address the storage issues, cloud storage has been widely used and provides scalable computational resources as a service. But one of the biggest concerns about cloud is security. On cloud, images are stored in encrypted form to provide security but a small modification may change the actual meaning of the image. In this paper, a review on cloud services for healthcare, issues faced by cloud and medical images and techniques to secure medical images has been done. Also, a technique using watermarking and hashing has been proposed, which provides security and minimum distortion of medical images.
