Solving the problem of network congestion of the protocol TCP, for wireless mesh networks, remains a challenge for the network community. Several congestion control algorithms have been developed to end this problem. However, in the presence of network congestion, TCP connections find it difficult to check certain conditions such as fairness, stability, optimal allocation of bandwidth, good throughput or even low latency. In this paper, we discuss this in detail through analyzes and comparisons made on TCP variants, we will focus more specifically on those designed for high-speed networks in order to draw conclusions and suggest improvements.
