Access to completely unified, low-cost, and secured healthcare model for all is one of the biggest concerns in the world. Internet of Things (IoT) and its ecosystem offer connectivity through numerous wearable smart devices, systems, and services, which give us an opportunity to use technology for improvement to human health. In the current situation, most of the medical facilities used in urban and rural health centers follow either the traditional method or their own defined methods for storage and accessing their medical content. As a patient’s health data can be shared across the country or nationwide, it is difficult to avail accessibility of crucial data by various stakeholders such as medical centers, insurance or claim providers, health professionals, etc. It is more challenging to gather consistent and proper patient data without loss of accuracy and integrity. Blockchain technology (BT) plays an important role in transforming healthcare to resolve issues that afflict the current system. This system would allow for the creation and sharing of a unified health database. It will bring better accessibility by various stakeholders involved in the healthcare sector in spite of any traditional or digital form of medical system they use. Such a system offers higher security and transparency among health professionals in order to provide proper care to the patient.
