The key challenge of blockchain integrated with Internet of Things (IoT) is security. It is very difficult to ensure security of blockchain integrated with IoT (BIOT). Everyday billions of IoT business trades and nodes exchange their information. Substantial research efforts are still needed to secure IoT transactions. New technologies such as cryptographic blockchain algorithms are suggested by researchers to improve security of miners and participants who are part of blockchain. More secured distributed transaction ledger are needed that cannot be compromised by anyone, because ledgers are controlled by a single entity. We propose a new mechanism called authenticated proof of signature, which ensures security over BIOT. This chapter focuses on cryptographic algorithms needed to secure BIOT, delegated and authenticated consensus algorithms for different types of blockchains, secure designing of cryptographic digital ledger and revocation ledger, best suite public/private cryptographic algorithms, hashing algorithms, and fault-tolerance systems. A new access control list has been widely focused for different type of blockchains. This chapter focuses on improving security of BIOT and challenges in computation and communication scalability.
