Problem of the Slot Connector Model Extraction by De-embedding Methodology

In this paper, we had studied model extraction problem when using de-embedding methodology for slot connector. For connector model extraction [1], de-embedding is effective for linear subtraction of trace length effect. In slot connector, there will be non-linear effect of contact point and PCB material dependent reflection owing to golden finger stub inside it. There will be gap between simulated and actual slot connector characteristics and this will result in over-estimation of signal margin for system linkage.
