Design and implementation of a Drought User Service

More frequent droughts and their stronger impacts can be expected in the territory of Slovenia in thefuture. This trend is calling for an adaptation of existing systems of drought detection, analysis andresponse. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of the DroughtWatch drought userservice (https://www.droughtwatch.eu). The web tool offers tools for displaying and analysis of thedrought related datasets. Its aim is to upgrade the Danube catchment drought monitoring systems andto be used in the process of drought effects mitigation.
