Gray Literature Versus Academic Literature in Software Engineering: A Call for Epistemological Analysis

Many software engineering (SE) practitioners share technical materials online, without formal peer review. Contrarily, SE researchers write technical articles that are peer reviewed and published as academic literature. We discuss how combining both can lead to integrated knowledge exchange and dissemination in SE.
