5G Connectivity in the Transport Sector

With the promise of higher bandwidth, lower latency and increased mobility, the emergence of 5G will revolutionize the transport sector dramatically. This chapter provides an overview of the impact of 5G on vehicles through technologies such as vehicular-to-vehicular communication and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication. Moreover, this chapter will show how 5G connectivity will enable the widespread use of drones and present potential applications of this emerging technology.
