Concept of a cooperative phenomenon presupposes at least three conditions: The existence and explicit recognition of a set of units, or subsystems; a definite interrelationship between these units so that the performance and behavior of one depends upon the performance of others; an explicitly defined sense in which the units are evaluated as being cooperative or not.
