In order to meet the needs of wireless network quick access in emergency situations and provide capability of data transmission, this paper presents a design and implementation of a data transmission model in multimode heterogeneous wireless network. The network involving cellular mobile networks, wireless mesh networks, ZigBee and Wireless LAN technologies uses a portable Raspberry Pi and the Texas CC2530 to provide wide-area wireless network access for specific scenarios. Information data can be transmitted fluently among sensor nodes, coordinators, laptops and all other devices involved in the networks. The test demonstrates that the implemented model is applicable to provide services such as data acquisition, real-time video transmission and so on in multimode heterogeneous wireless networks scenarios.
