The existing wireless push system has the main disadvantages such as fixed beam-width, less output performance, Non uniform distribution of data among clients. To overcome these limitations, use of smart antenna are preferred where beam steering is electronically controlled. However this method also suffers from the limitations such as high cost, high power consumption and difficult to reconfigure. In research paper we have proposed a hardware based smart antenna system where Programmable System on Chip (PSoC) is used as a beamforming tool. It has distinct feature such as reliability re-configurability, automatic routing and low cost. The progressive phase shifts obtained are within ±5 accuracy. In this system we successfully embedded both RF components and PSoC component together in such a way that all generated beam patterns are directive and steered great Cross Polarization Level (XPD).
