Identification of a DC Motor with Independent Excitation

New approach based on wavelet functions is applied for identification of the parameters of a DC motor with independent excitation in the paper. Coiflet wavelets are used for this purpose. The parameters estimated by the identification are compared with the analytically determined values. The relative parameter errors and relative output errors are calculated, and the adequateness of the obtained mathematical model is evaluated. The results are analyzed, and corresponding conclusions are made.
