The conventional models of software development life cycle are based on the functional parameters and are implemented and executed on the on-premise infrastructure and resources. It also provides its own security measures and has complete control over the resources. The implementation cost is an important concern during software development. The current trends of the cloud environment and its features enable the organization and its developers to move toward it. Because of the advantages of cost-effectiveness, anywhere business, on-demand services, and efficient management, etc., people are moving toward the cloud architecture for business expansion. At the same time, there is a necessity to understand the rigorous challenges faced while choosing and using the cloud and its resources for the requirements of an organization or particular product development. This chapter provides insights into understanding the significant challenges of software engineering models in the cloud environment available currently.
