Learning Difficulties in Computer Architecture

In India, Computer Education plays a vital role in human resource development of the country by training skilled manpower, enhancing industrial productivity and improving the quality of life. As a fundamental component of a computer science curriculum Computer Architecture is a mandatory course. It is also one of the most challenging courses for many fresh students who often drop out from a Computer Science programme as a consequence of having failed, or performed poorly, in an Computer Architecture course. The students' difficult to understand logic gates and Boolean algebra and also students’ have difficult to grasping the implementation of higher level constructs in low level computer architecture features . This is because of students facing learning difficulties in computer architecture course. Hence there is a need to diagnose the learning difficulties of students in computer architecture course.
