From Machine Learning in Drug Discovery to Pharmacoeconomics

Sean Ekins, Renée J.G. Arnold · PharmacoEconomics · 2020

Computational approaches play a key role in pharmaceutical discovery and development, from data mining, experimental and clinical data capture to pharmacoeconomics. In recent years, the interest and utilization of artificial intelligence and the use of machine learning have increased in the industry such that computational modeling and predictions are now being taken much more seriously. In the area of pharmacoeconomics, there is a significant unmet need to develop new software tools to aid in pharmaceutical decision-making. We will discuss the latest developments and our call for more sharing of models.
