This research aims to solve manufacturing problems including an aggregate production planning or APP for the herb cosmetic company in Thailand, where the demand levels of products are different. The fish swarm optimization metaheuristic or FSA including its hybridizations, are used to determine the preferable levels of manufacturing variables. Using the data obtained from an undisclosed manufacturer, computational experiments are conducted under various constraints. The results from the experiments show that the hybridization of the FSA with the evolutionary equation concerning the iteration or HFSA2 can solve various problems with better efficiency compared with other methods under reasonable time. For the APP model, the implementation of numerical results required many actions such as preparation of detailed information about production process or production capacity including changeover times of the machines.
