Speech intelligibility is affected by various interfering factors in a speech transmission system. Reverberation is one of the most common affecting factors. Subjective listening experiments were carried out in reverberant environment, and perceptual characteristics of Chinese speech intelligibility were analyzed. The function relationships between initial intelligibility, final intelligibility, tone intelligibility and syllable intelligibility of Mandarin and reverberation time were respectively established, and compared subjective syllable intelligibility scores with STIPA method.
