IMPROVISATION IN AODV PROTOCOL TOPREVENT AND MITIGATE GRAY HOLE ATTACK INMANET

In mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) due to the absence of fixed infrastructure and centralized authority, the implementation of secured routing is a big challenge. Even though the reactive protocol of Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV) in MANET is the best protocol to transmit data from one node to another, the security is more susceptible while moving the data. One of the serious attacks of AODV based MANET is Gray Hole attack. This type of attack is difficult to sense and prevent. Hence, this paper proves that if Logistic Regression with Fuzzy Logic (LRFL) and Certificate Authority is added to the AODV, definitely it will provide good reliability, Quality of Service (QOS), public trust, security and detect gray hole attack effectively. The outcome will illustrate the performance improvement of proposed protocol over Logistic Regression with MLE (Maximum Likelihood Estimator). The metrics in the performance of network examined with different conditions of mobility and the presence of gray hole positions
