Image processing is a technique for performing a specific operation to an image, in order to produce an enriched image or to obtain some useful information from it. Digital image processing is rapidly growing in the field of computer science; it plays an important role in science and technology, with applications in the fields of photography, television, remote sensing, robotics, industrial inspection and medical diagnosis. This chapter discusses image-processing applications that includes computerized photography, fingerprint/face/iris recognition, space-image processing, automatic character recognition, medical/biological image processing, and industrial applications. Image-processing operations will be implemented using the Raspberry Pi. All interpolation methods take the dimensions of the output image and the image&s;s scaling factor as parameters. The objective of this code is to load, display and save an image.
