Irregular QC-LDPC Codes Generation Based on EMD Maximization Criterion for Protograph

In this paper a new method for irregular QC-LDPC codes generation with desired EMD characteristics is provided. The method allows to control the minimal EMD value for cycles of length of 4, 6, 8 and 10. Better implementations in terms of EMD values and error correction performance of WiFi codes of length 648 were obtained with the proposed method.
