The aim of this project was to design a wireless phone charger suitable for use in the hospitality industry. Briefly the project involved the following: market research into competing products and companies, research into Induction (wireless) charging circuits and components, sourcing of circuits and components for prototyping, concept generation, sketching, drawing, rendered visuals, -testing of prototype parts (circuits), particularly for effectiveness of induction circuit through different materials and material thicknesses- refinement of chosen design, Final technical drawings for production of prototype, production of a working “mock-up”.
