Four-Dimensional Strings and Low Energy Predictions
Ignatios Antoniadis · 1991
Abstract A brief review of 4d superstring theories is presented. The general model-independent low energy predictions are described, with particular emphasis on fractionally charged particles and the existence of a possible new dimension at the TeV scale related to the supersymmetry breaking mechanism. The present status of model building in discussed, mainly in the context of the flipped SU(5) × U(1) 4d string model.
