Generalized Cyclotomic Double Circulant Self-Dual Codes of Length 4p

Constructions of some double circulant self-dual codes on the residue ring Z2ρ, where p is a prime and satisfies p ≡ 3 mod 4, are proposed. Two new structures of these codes are formed from the theory of generalized cyclotomy. Moreover, both [12, 6, 4] and [44, 22, 8] optimal self-dual codes over GF(2) and a family of [28, 14, 9] highest known self-dual codes over GF(4) are given.
