An Approach for Estimation of Packet Delivery Time on SpaceFibre Networks

Elena A. Suvorova · 2020 Wave Electronics and its Application in Information and Telecommunication Systems (WECONF) · 2020

The packet delivery time (minimal, average, maximal) is one of important parameters for onboard aerospace networks. The SpaceFibre standard developed specially for onboard aerospace networks, support guaranteed Quantity of Service (QoS) such as priorities, reserved bandwidth, scheduling. These mechanisms implemented on Data Link. They provide division of physical link resources between Virtual Networks. The wormhole routing is used on the Network Layer. In this paper we considered existing methods for estimating packet delivery time in networks with wormhole routing. We considered specific of the SpaceFibre standard because of which these method can not be directly used for this standard. In the paper we proposed the evaluation method adopted for the SpaceFibre standard
