Periscope Detection Using Hough Transform by Selecting Parameters Based on Ship-Borne X-Band Multi-Function Radar

It is difficult to detect a stationary or slow-moving periscope having a small radar cross-section in a maritime environment. This paper presents a periscope detection method using the Hough transform by selecting parameters based on an active electronically scanned array ship-borne X-band multi-function radar. The method was evaluated through modeling and simulation.
