Physical Unclonable Function Using Carbon Resistor

Ryota Soga, Hyunho Kang · 2020

Physical unclonable functions (PUFs) have been used as fingerprints for hardware to achieve individual identification and authentication. However, most current PUFs, such as complementary metal-oxide-semiconductors, use digital variations. Therefore, we focus on the underdeveloped analog elements with respect to PUFs. In this study, the identification code is generated by applying a voltage to a resistance and measuring the voltage drop of the resistance to identify an individual.
