Research on Energy Saving Algorithm in Wireless Sensor Network Based on Mobile Agent

Bingyue Liu, Xu Zhao · 2020

In the traditional wireless sensor network (WSN), it is assumed that the sensor node position is fixed and ignoring the impact of node position changes on network performance. Aiming at above problems, this paper discusses a hotspot in Internet technology research - mobile IP technology and proposes a method for importing mobile agent technology into wireless sensor networks to improve network performance. According to the basic routing mechanism and rules of the Mobile IP protocol, a functional entity mobile agent is implemented. The proposed method makes certain modifications in the Linux kernel which implements tunnel encapsulation of data packets at the network layer. And it sends proxy ARP messages on the data link layer to intercept packets destined for mobile nodes. Performance simulation experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can still maintain good performance when the position of the node changes.
